“Straight backs are happy backs,” was Fjällräven’s motto when designing Kånken in 1978 to help prevent back problems among Swedish schoolchildren, and it quickly became a common sight in preschools and nature schools across the country. Today, 35 years later, Kånken has straightened millions of backs worldwide and has become one of Fjällräven’s most beloved products.

This backpack is equally suitable for travel, work, or hiking. The material is a durable and lightweight Vinylon F fabric, capable of withstanding dirt and moisture. The spacious main compartment has a large zippered opening, making it easy to store and retrieve items. It features two flat side pockets and a zippered pocket on the front, perfect for those small items you want to keep handy. The included PE foam pad is stored in the back inner pocket, where it prevents the contents of the backpack from touching your back – and is always within reach when you need to take a break and sit down, wherever you are. The carrying system is simple yet practical, consisting of handles on the top and thin, adjustable shoulder straps. The logo on the front is reflective. It also has an address label inside the main compartment.

For washing, the brand recommends using warm water and a soft brush.
